Which Intel CPU?

Core i5-4690K Core i5-6500
Which one should I choose, I play games mostly like DayZ, and Arma.

I do also plan on overclocking, I can afford both, I just need help deciding. lol.

If you have any other CPU recommendations please let me know, I'm trying to get one over 4.2ghz cause that's what I have right now.

OC and you will have to go with the 4690K. On the other hand I would rather build with 6600K today.

The main question is do you upgrade or not.. if you do then again it depends what you could keep from the current PC, if you have DDR3 already then Haswell might save you few bucks just on that... other then that i5-6500 will only OC with BCLK which like in old days is a matter of luck. With K you got unlocked multipier which generally is more reliable way to get higher clocks, so 4,2 will be no problem on i5-4690K but with i5-6500 impossible.

I would get Skylake but get a i5-6600K if you want to be able to overclock it reliably as Intel may block the workaround that allows non K Skylake cpus (the like i5-6500) in a microcode update and then you would be screwed.
