which internet for gaming

hi wat "stats" should i look for for playing mmo's, internet speed, amount of internet (200GB, etc), which ever else u have to choose from. atm im using a wireless internet stick from telstra but its cutting in and out all the time so i want a landline adsl but not sure which i should go for

Look for cable provider with unlimited transfer. Adsl isn't the best choice since it can have both bad response (ping) and limited download capacity.

Some companies which provide TV services also have options for an Internet. They usually use coaxial cable as a source of the signal. If a telecommunication company provides Internet over an old phone lines it can have a bad influence on the ADSL connection thats why its not the top notch solution at this time.
At least avoid wireless solutions, limited download offers, etc. ADSL will be fair if its from good provider with a stable service.

It can be both, some home lines can be low quality some lines from provider to you home can be low quality.
If you live in a big city this problem can be minor since the distance from your house to the phone central can be short, but longer the distance over the country villages, this problem can arise.
You should ask the guy who will install to make a test with the ADSL modem or router, if the ping to the default gateway in your network will be less than 20ms then you will be fine. For example at my current cable provider with 30Mbps connection, i got avg ping of 5ms to the network gateway, which is excellent.
If the number is around 100ms then its a total fail.... 100-150ms is a max on some FPS servers and if you exceed that you will be kicked.
