Which is a better build?

What build is better and probably last me the longest with the way games are going.

I have a Case,Hard drive,and a 750w psu that I believe should all be fine and can carry over.

My overall goal is upgrading my rig to last for awhile and be able to play the newer games along with easier cpu upgrades... due to my current rig being stuck in the dark ages of ddr2 and am3 (Look no plus) sooo... which one would be better? I have $500 and was going to spend about $200 on a graphics card leaving $300 for a cpu,mobo,and ram upgrade. Also am I missing anything for this upgrade and psu's are interchangeable and as long as I can draw enough power from it i should be fine correct...? I'm aiming for Fallout 4 and as of right now this upgrade will be purely just to play it so I would like to try and have an enjoyable time with it! Thank you all!

Build 1 would be a much better choice for gaming as it has better performance per core and a much better upgrade path (Xeon or i7).

I'd go Intel for sure under those two choices.

Ok thank you... this has been like eating at me cause I am like all crazed for Fallout 4 and know that my piece of junk would only be able to tease me with the Main Screen haha Thank you all!

is it worth spending the extra $14 and getting the 4590... like the .1 cpu boost seems so minute but if its worth spending that $14 ill change the rig build for it.

Its a 300mhz increase (boost clock). I doubt it will be much of an improvment. Just save your money and eventually go for a Xeon 1231 or i7 in the future if games start using 4 cores plus hyper-threading.
