Hello, I am building a new computer from the ground up for running FSX (with addons such as REX and PMDG) and for use with some other misc games, but in terms of FSX which system would be best suited for the job? Pricing aside, just performance. Your comments and opinions are greatly appreciated.
Option 1
CPU - i7 5930k
Motherboard - MSI Gaming 9 ACK
GPU - MSI GTX970
RAM - Corsair Vengence LPX 16gb DDR4-2133

Option 2
CPU - i7 4970k
Motherboard - MSI Gaming 7 ACK
GPU -MSI GTX970
RAM - Corsair Vengence 16gb DDR3-2133

Solution
I would go with option 2..

4790k is the best for any gaming ore FSX at this moment. The 5xxx series if you edit and stuff,

Also, since you save a lil money, you can get a 980
Ok, I have a good SDD. as for the Ram I have looked and have found a few different options. Corsair CMZ16GX3M4X1866C9 or Corsair CML16GX3M4X1600C7. Which do you think would be better? or do you have any other ideas

Does this indicate that you've chosen your Option 2?

The CMZ16GX3M4X1866C9 is a 4x4GB kit.

2x8GB is preferable (e.g. Corsair Vengeance Pro CMY16GX3M2A1866C9R, G.Skill Ripjaws X Series F3-1866C9D-16GXM). It may be possible to manually tighten the memory timings in the motherboard's BIOS, possibly to CAS 8. There's a greater chance of doing this with two memory modules than with four memory modules.

Ok, awesome, thank you for your guys feed back. Yes I will be going with option 2, the money saved will be able to go into other components and the 4790k seems to get the best reviews. As for memory I am thinking G-Skill F3-2133C9D-16GXH or F3-1866C8D-16GTX after your advise
