Which is better? (290,280)

Which would be better choice to play AC unity

R9 290 4gb VRAM + 4gbs of ram - 170$
or
R9 280x 3gb VRAM + 8gb of ram - 165$

If you are running Windows 64 bit, go for the r9 290 and 4gb of ram for now, and then just add an extra 4gb when you have the money. Make sure when you get the extra 4gb that it is the exact same ram. If you are using a 32bit version you are limited to 4gb max anyway, and the extra 4gb will never get used.

I'm thinking even with those prices you are forgetting about the price of the ram or just not adding it up right. The r9 290 retails around $260-280 and 8gb of ram is between $80-100. 4gb would be still $40-50. Either way the prices are a good amount higher than you have projected.
