Ok .. before coming to any conclusion...
I want to say that i know intel have better single core performance..
But i m talking about future proof like when it comes to mobo
Amd say that they will release next gen processor on same socket as ryzen so we dnt have to upgrade to a new one
But for intel we have to change mobo for next gen so current one will be waste i really want for 144fps cap
M really worried cuz i will upgrade my cpu in 3-4 years to come ....so ..
plz help i have 144hz panel and want stream and game both ....
For games like PUBG,CS GO ...
Plz help
My brain is on barbeque stow by confusion
Plz help ....

If only gaming is concerned and ignoring price diff, 8700k is the clear winner and is future proof for 3-4 years. I5-8400 is close to 8700k in gaming, but not future proof due to only 6 threads. If you will do streaming/video/photo editing, and want cost effective, can lower setting in some game, Ryzen 1600/1700 are best bang for the money and future proof. It all depends on your need and budget.

Yeah but unlike intel ... if i buy ryzen 1600 and wait till feb i can upgrade my processor for new gen ryzen and will replace it they will reduce the cost for exchange right ..?
I m not going for intel cuz u know aint future proof again i will have to change my motherboard...
