Hi, I have two choices:

XFX RX 590 GME 8GB (USED) - $78.00
Not sure where this was used for or for how long.

or

VRGMPL RX 580 2048 SP 8GB (NEW)- $57.00

system:
Ryzen 5 1600
B350 Gaming Pro
Hyper X 16Gb 3200mhz
Kingston 512gb 2.5" SSD
Superflower 650W 80+ Gold

I want the best bang for the buck GPU.
Thanks.

There's zero chance that's *actually* new for $58.

It's probably the better choice since the RX 590 is barely more powerful.
Yeah, thought of that as well, but I did some research, the VRGMPL is a Chinese brand that sells like "RX 570ti OC 8Gb" ( so the RX 580 2048 SP) and the product reviews were good from past customers and say it's really new.

If that's the case, the RX 580 2048SP it is then?

I did a quick search on "VRGMPL RX 580 2048 SP 8GB" and the least expensive used one I can find in a quick search is $88. The 'new' ones are $120-140 on sites like Amazon. I would be VERY wary that this is a too good to be true deal. Proceed with caution and use something with buyer protection if possible.

That 590 is old enough that it could have been used as a part of a mining rig twice now. I would not even consider it. Being fair, I wouldn't do a 580 either, this is just too long in the tooth at this point.

Alright, I understand it's best to settle for a more reputable brand . I'll just save some money for a while, and get a good gpu for a little more price.

Regarding about the site, it's the most used online shopping site here in my country, it's called "shopee" maybe similar to ebay amazon and I was able to reach out to customer service multiple times to address product issues (like return and refund) . The seller was named "vrgmpl.ph" and I was thinking if this was the direct seller of the RX 580 with 708 sold. But both products ships from china, might be a bit hard and different for customer service.

You can check out the screenshots here and confirm if it's like legit:

Thanks for your responses!

As has been pointed out multiple times in multiple prior posts, do Not rely on 'customer reviews' as many times those are not actual customers, but employees or family or friends etc paid to give a positive review online to 'pad' sales with false claims.

Meaning a Rx580 for that rediculously low price is most likely a very old/well used and barely functional card, a false card like a Rx550 with a jacked vbios and 3dprinted shroud, or a Rx580/590 pulled from a Dell/HP etc out of the junkyard and given a paint job.

I would definitely take the used RX 590. The RX 580 2048SP is a gimped version of the RX 580 and is even weaker than the RX 480. It performs the same as an old GTX 970 (not a good thing) while the RX 590 performs about the same as an R9 Fury (far better).

The RX 580 2048SP was designed primarily to be a mining card and, until recently, wasn't available outside of China. It's extremely power-efficient and has 8GB of VRAM but its gaming performance is no match for the RX 590, a card that is, on average, 21% faster.

If that's the case, and pretty much guaranteed the 580SP is a mining card, and most likely heavily used at that, what are the chances the 590 isn't in the same condition.

Alright, thanks for the info guys, I'll be avoiding this card. I'll just save up for a better and legit one. Maybe I'll find myself a new GTX 1660Ti or an RTX 3050 from Palit. Thanks !

good choice. New with box, and also a proper receipt + warranty when you're buying from a physical store.

New 3050 are overpriced.
1660Ti even more so.

RX6650XT is your safest bet if you are truly willing to give over 200$(3050).
299$ 1660Ti according to prices on pcpartpicker.com.

RTX4060 can be aquired for as low as 289$.
Which begs the question, what CPU do you have?
