Will you be buying a dedicated GPU? If not, you will have to get the i5 because off the top of my head, I don't think the FX has integrated graphics.

at the moment i have a hd 7770 but i'm thinking of upgrading to gtx 760

Get the i5. even though it's more expensive, it will perform better.
