Which is better for gaming?

Hello, i want to buy a new cpu but im having some dificulty on what to choose. I5 9600k or i7 7700k? My plan was to buy 9600k but if i had a better i7 with the same price range

Definitely the i5 9600K.... Look at any benchmark, any comparison, 9600K performs much better than the 7700K.... But if you can, you can buy the 8700K...

But as per as your question, 9600K is fairly better
And BTW, the 7th gen (Kay Lake) is dead...
Even the i3-8350K beats the i7-7700K by a bit and i5-7600K significantly in gaming

I will suggest you go with the 9600k because it has 6 cores, not like the 7700k that have 4 cores if you want to pay an extra 100$ to get an i7 you should get the 8700k best price to preference gaming CPU.
