6700k will be better than 1600x in any task. There is custom price of cpu and mobo in your list, does it mean u can get them for such low price?
Overall build looks great, well done.

I wouldn't say the i7 would be better at'any task'...but, certainly 'many' tasks, and, certainly 6 out of 7 games.

The Ryzen processors will be better at heavy multitasking, such as gaming *while* streaming*, and, any applications or even the odd game or two that scale well with more cores/threads... etc...

Thanks! Yes there is a very good bundle deal at microcenter (http://www.microcenter.com/site/brands/intel-processor-bundles.aspx) which puts me in my budget ($1100) :)

Its ryzen 5 not 7. Ryzen 5 has not a single chance to beat 6700k @ 4.8GHZ or so.

There are plenty of multithreaded benchmarks that the R5 will at least keep up with or beat the 6700k, even overclocked. Gaming wise however I will agree with you,

The 1600 is 6 cores and 12 threads, it will outperform the quad core 6700k in certain productivity tasks. I doubt a quad core r5 1500 would outperform the 6700k in very many tasks, but the 1600 could. If we are talking specifically gaming the 6700k will outperform the 1600 in all games I have seen tested.

This is pretty bad advice given the 6700K looses in everything but gaming.
