Someone please answer, I am very curious. I don't care about the watts or heat, I just want to know which one is better in performance. 4 way crossfire 3 gb AMD Radeon HD 7970 or a single GTX 1080.
Are we talking synthetic benches or real world? If we're talking synthetic benches then the 7970 quad CFX would probably win out, if we're talking real world the 1080 will beat it because practically nothing supports quad SLI.
If you can, always single card over crossfire or SLI because VRAM doesnt add, you still only have 2 GB, and some games have problems with microstuttering and don't get any FPS gains becasue they dont know how to distribute load properly.
Directx 12 games also wont work. At all.

So few games would actually work correctly with 4 way crossfire its completely pointless. Also 4 way 7970 will still only give 3gb VRAM so all that horse power with a vram suited to 1080p???
