Which is better?

Hmkay, so I built a new system today!

I'm mostly curious as to which is better. The intergrated GPU on my Motherboard (Asrock FM2 Pro-4 m) that is a HD 7000 series. Or the hand me down dedicated GPU wich is a HD 4350. I also have an APU ( AMD A6-5400) if that matters.

Your dedicated GPU is of course better better than your integrated graphics..

Ok, so how do I go about setting that up? I'm completely new to building.

It is straight forward. You assemble the computer and hook the monitor to the motherboard connection and it will simply work after you installed the drivers for it.
There are build guides in the System section if you need help.

I did that, but does the APU just automatically kick in?

Yes it does if no discrete card is installed in the computer. In device manager it would be listed under display adapter as HD75xx series after the drivers are installed for it.

Ah! Thank you! It is indeed better. I'm probably just going to pick up a HD 7750 and call it good!
