Most people might go with the stronger cored i5 but the extra cores of the FX might tip the scale in it's favor in regards to editing. Though it largely depends on the developer of the video editor you use. The FX is also a capable gaming CPU when balanced with the right GPU.

If you do mostly gaming and video editing takes a backseat then i'd go with the i5 and maybe even get some overclocking done considering it's unlocked (well, both chips are).
