Performance wise they're about the same. R9 285 seems more attractive to me due to 256 bit.

■ The Gtx 960 is the better card at 1080p, they both have 2gb of vram, but overall the 960 beats it in most games. the better option would be a r9 280 or 280x if you can find it for the same price as the 960, just remember you need a minimum of 20A for the 960 and 25A for a 285.
