Which is better?

Hi. My motherboard recently broke. I have 2 options. I can either buy a preowned AM2 motherboard for my current CPU (Athlon X2 6000+) or i can buy a gigabyte GA-EP41-UD3L and an Intel Core 2 Duo e7400 for $50. Which would be a better option?

I can get the gigabyte and intel cpu from my friend for $50. If i got an AM2 board, it would have to be from ebay.

Both CPU have similar performance and they weaker than even 5350
Sell everything expect case PSU, hdd and and use this

If you can buy AM2 board below $40 go for it instead take intel.
Anyway if you can find additional $100 - $150 I will make bulid for with almost 2x faster CPU

I am planning to get an ASRock A780GXE/128M for $70. Then later ill upgrade to a Phenom II X6 and get another GTX 570 to SLI.
