so I'm buying a monitor and all three have pretty much the same specs I was wondering what other people would recommend!

There are only one or two manufacturers that actually produce LCD panels, These manufactures sell the panels to other companies that actually assemble the monitors, so it is not surprising that similarly priced units have the exact same specs, and performance.
