The MSI board is better, especially with BIOS support. As for the other features that's mostly based on preference; what you need and what you like design-wise.

They should be, nobody has really reported any issues with linux and AMD chips with incompatibility.

Well PT is switching to a Void Linux base, so I decided to try https://getsol.us/home/ they have a mate edition.
