A-Bit KT7A Raid for $176.50
OR
ASUS A7V133 for $159.50

I am going to put in an AMD 1.2 GHz Thunderbird
with 256 MB DIMM of Crucial Memory

Does that sound OK, and which motherboard would you guys recommend getting and why? I am of course going to run it at 133MHz FSB.

Thanks for the help!

i'd go for the a7v133, since it seemed to be "slightly" ahead in tom's test.

it was consistently in the top 3, if not top2.
also, i believe that the promise chip now supports raid 0 and raid 1.

The abit is really good too though.
The abit is availiable in my area (west coast Canada) but i'm waiting for the a7v133 to become availiable, then i'll probably get that.

why get the expensive 1.2gig? with either of the mobo's you can just get a 800 or less, or a little more.
1.2 will not oc that well...so why not save yourself some mula. plus a 800@1000 or 850@1100 sounds lot better than
1200@1250

If you can't beat 'em kill 'em
athlon "SLOTA" thunderbird 700@1050mhz
