There aren't many 7200rpm laptop drives on the market, most are 5000-5400rpm's. This helps with battery life as well as acoustics.
My latest 8tb Wd 7200 rpm drive can write at 220MB/s . A fast laptop drie is about half that speed.
The best option is to get an SSD. The Sata ones are all laptop size and a good one will easily surpass an HDD.
