[SOLVED] which is good to go?

Im planning to buy hard disk drive which is better overall in performance storage mainly performance
My choices:

Seagte barracuda 2 tb 7200rpm

or

WD blue or purple

The Seagate Barracuda Pro 2TB 7200 rpm (a CMR drive) would be my choice, the 2TB Blue or Purple are 5400rpm.

And note that the 2TB Barracuda 5400rpm is an SMR drive, which you do not want if possible as it is slower to re-write over existing files.

I have installed countless WD Purple drives for surveillance deployments. They are an exceptionally hearty drive and handle rewrites very well. As above, they aren't your fastest storage solution but they are quite dependable.
