which is higher gig or bits?

Solution
None. "Gig"... or rather "Giga" is a unit prefix and means 1.000.000.000 units while "Bit" is a unit which is used in electronics and IT which is used to measure some state. Bit can take have 2 values 1 or 0. In electronics value of 1 means there is a High Voltage state, while 0 means its Low Voltage state (doest have to be actually 0). It can also describe a switch state, 1 = turned on, 0 turned off ... thats why its sometimes called bit-switch... etc, etc.

If you consider "Bit" as single unit and "GigaBit" as a 10^9 x Bit units then obviously Giga is allot higher value... thats the only similarity.
