Which is more energy efficient?

I plan to build an energy efficient HTPC and I am wondering which is the most efficient DDR3 Dual Channel setup:

4x 2GB 1600mhz rated at 1.35v or 2x 4GB 1600mhz rated at 1.35v

It makes sense to me that less dimms would mean less power, but if each setup contains the same amount of memory modules then is there actually a difference?

2 x 4 GB is a bit more efficient.
