Hi, I've got a GTX 1060 6GB at a screen of 1366X768 screen and a RAM of 16GB DRR3.
I want a good CPU which has a great performance at this screen until I get a new monitor.
I saw some CPUs, Here are the ones that would like to get- i5 8400, i5 9400F or a i3 9100F.
Can you suggest a which will be best? also you advice some other CPUs rather than these ones.
Thanks in advance.

Please before recommending something to the OP, read the post carefully, he said he has a 16GB of ddr3,
CoffeeLake will use the 300 series chipset, and will not be backwards compatible with the 100 or 200 series.
100 series boards exist(ed) with DDR3L support, I don't believe any 200 series boards supported anything other than DDR4.

I included a link to a list, its under 300$.
You could always go for a better CPU, you could go for a ryzen CPU with a 3200MHZ ram and good mobo.
I have never used a AMD processor. So, I don't trust it too well. But if it has a really great performance and value for price, I won't hesitate to try it. Yeah, The RAM is Corsair DDR4 16GB 3200Mhz. And I remember a Processor it was Ryzen 1300x or something. I think about it.

Look at this list and check the prices where you are:

I didn't include a GPU because at your resolution the 1060 6GB card you have will work fine.
Also the other Motherboards I would recommend if you don't want the Asus I chose are the MSI B450 Tomahawk or MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC which both reviewed well.

can you tell how can I view the list, I never used that website before. When I click, it doesn't show the list.

Thanks, that is in my budget too! Would have to increase it a little, but I'll do it. And how long can this PC last? Any idea?
Here are all the parts-
*AMD Ryzen 2600
*GTX 1060 6Gb
*ASUS Strix B450-F Gaming Motherboard
*ARCTIC 34 eSports DUO CPU Cooler
*Trident Z RGB 16GB RAM DDR4 3200Mhz
*1366x768 60Hz
Thanks for the help guys :)

I just built mine in November 2018 and I don't see any reason I can't keep using it as is for at least 5 years or so.
I might upgrade to a Ryzen 3000 Series cpu next year depending on the prices.
But the nice thing is that I can just buy a newer CPU and swap it for my current CPU without having to upgrade anything else.

Can I use this Motherboard? The other one is expensive and I have to buy SSD too,

That is for Intel CPUs and won't work for an AMD Ryzen CPU.
These will work and are cheaper BUT I would read some reviews before buying to see how good they really are:

You should read these:
