I have a Ryzen 5 5600G CPU and and an RTX 4060 GPU.
I want to upgrade my RAM from 8GB x 2 to 16GB x 2, and I have 2 choices:

1- Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz C16
2- Patriot Viper Steel 3200MHz DDR4.

Which is better RAM from those two ?

For Ryzen 3000 and 5000, the conventional wisdom was 3200 16 CAS latency, however, 3600 has proved to be the sweet spot. Especially with how affordable DDR4 memory has become, you should be able to find a kit fairly inexpensively. Something like the Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x16 would be ideal. However, if it is just between your two choices, the Corsair Vengeance will perform better for your Ryzen system.

Hello!

First, please make sure that the model of the RAM that you are buying is on the qualified vendor list of your motherboard.

Secondly, make sure that your CPU supports the frequency of the RAM you are buying.

I hope this helps...

I would say get the Patriot Viper. If memory serves me right, Corsair LPX and AM4 ryzen didn't get along very well. I ran 2x8gb, 3733 Patriot viper with my 3700x without issue, before I upgraded that machine to 32gb of 3600 Crucial, along with a 5800x. Motherboard matters too, though. Personally, if you can get it, safe choice is G-Skill Ripjaws DDR4 3200. I have yet to find a Ryzen system that won't work well in. I have built multiple systems over the years with it, from Ryzen 5 1600's, with a lowly Asrock B450 Pro4, and the last one being a Ryzen 5 5600 on an MSI B550 Gaming Plus
