What will the PC be used for? Just basic stuff like browsing/office use, light gaming, etc.

I see there's no price for the motherboard, do you already own that board, i.e. does the 300 pound budget need to include a motherboard?

I would get a 240 GB SSD minimum, e.g. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product...0-256gb-25-solid-state-drive-asu800ss-256gt-c

I would also get 16GB of RAM if possible.

Other than that, either build looks good. The 3200G is slightly better, but it may not work with that motherboard without a BIOS update.

If you can buy the board in person somewhere you can look for a "ready for ryzen 3000" sticker on it. Alternatively, you can get an MSI B450 board with "MAX" in the name; these are guaranteed to support Ryzen 3000 out of the box.

Or just get a 2200G, which is guaranteed to work with any B450 board out of the box.

Also i just checked on the asrock website that the motherboard does support the 3rd gen cpu, is this guaranteed out of the box or will it still need a bios update? If it is guaranteed, is it worth to sacrifice the 250gb ssd until i can upgrade or is it still not worth?

If getting a 3200G/compatible mobo would cost enough extra to prevent you from getting a 250GB SSD and/or 16GB of RAM, I'd go with the 2200G.

i believe the motherboard is compatible however not 100%
i am able to get 16gb
but i am unable to reach 250gb

so 2200g it is then i guess😊
