[SOLVED] Which Is The Better £300 Build?

My bad, my PCPartpicker merchant settings were weird.

I would get a 240 GB SSD minimum, e.g. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product...0-256gb-25-solid-state-drive-asu800ss-256gt-c

I would also get 16GB of RAM if possible.

Other than that, either build looks good. The 3200G is slightly better, but it may not work with that motherboard without a BIOS update.

If you can buy the board in person somewhere you can look for a "ready for ryzen 3000" sticker on it. Alternatively, you can get an MSI B450 board with "MAX" in the name; these are guaranteed to support Ryzen 3000 out of the box.

Or just get a 2200G, which is guaranteed to work with any B450 board out of the box.

Alright, thank you very much for your help. do you think it is best to go for the 2200g to save hassle with the bios update, as this will also keep the cost down to allow the 250gb ssd and 16gb of RAM?

Update:
Also i just checked on the asrock website that the motherboard does support the 3rd gen cpu, is this guaranteed out of the box or will it still need a bios update? If it is guaranteed, is it worth to sacrifice the 250gb ssd until i can upgrade or is it still not worth?

Cheapest board guaranteed to work with a 3200G out of the box: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product...x-micro-atx-am4-motherboard-b450m-pro-vdh-max

Depending on what kind of CPU you might want to eventually upgrade to, it might be wise to spend a bit more on something like: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/XJbCmG/msi-b450-a-pro-max-atx-am4-motherboard-b450-a-pro-max
Or, if you want microATX:

Thank you 😊
