Which is the better processor?

Im looking to get a new processor and i cannot decide which processor i should get, an AMD A-10 7850k black edition or an Intel I7 4790k. Can anyone help me?

Without any doubt, i7. Better in all tasks, regardless of usage scenario. What will be the purpose of your upgrade? If gaming, you can go for i5 4690K and save some money while getting basically the same performance.

While the 7850K is a decent, mid-range processor, the i7 is the top-shelf from Intel. The i7 will demolish it in every way possible.

for budget A10 7850K since it s a good APU , otherwise i5 4690/4590+ a dedicated GPU

I personally don't like A10 7850K cuz it s overpriced . A10 5800K is cheaper but the upgrade path is not so bright. .

Might consider i3 4150 + GTX 960
