Solution
Oh thats kewl!
I would use the green and run a scan every day for a week on the purple.
If you don't get more failed or reallocated sectors then I would use it as a repository for non-critical files or a backup drive.
Green is acceptable for a storage drive. It is not a performance drive for gaming but sometime can do very well if you get lucky and score one of the ones that really runs at 7200rpms. Most are 5400-5900 rpm drives.
Purple is a surveillance camera system drive. It's firmware emphasizes writes over reads and gamers need the opposite. These are usually 5400rpm drives also.

I appreciate your answer. I'm not power user so slower speeds should not be a problem.

However if I wanted to store videos and pictures on purple disk, could I encounter any problems because of the firmware you mentioned? Or it will result only in slower reading speeds.

Also I found 2 irreparable bad sectors on purple, does that pose any threat for future use?

thank you
