[SOLVED] Which laptop is best for gaming MSI GE75 or Helios 300

Can someone suggest the best gaming laptop for 1500 dollar. I am preferring to buy MSI GE75 or Helios 300 from Costco. Not sure if the price at Costco for the same reduces or not in near future.

Which one should I go for and why with pros and cons of both if any.

Unfortunately, it's not as simple as you think it is. Which SKU are you looking at? The reason this is complicated to answer off the bat is due to the fact that;

MSI have 3 versions:

while
Acer have 22 versions:

so, if you may, got a link to either one of the laptop's you're looking at?

First of all, do you need the portability of a laptop?
For gaming only, you are likely to do better with a desktop.
You would get a bigger monitor, stronger cpu and graphics for about the same price.

I see many with problems with gaming laptops.
The reason is that the cooling systems on a laptop need to be small and light.
They are prone to thermal throttling under heavy gaming loads.

Look at the cooling setups of each of your candidates.
I can not tell from the photos which is better in that regard.
From a specs point of view, they are the same.

Look at the lenovo Legion 5i line.
They look to have a very effective cooling system.

The laptops are customizable.
If you have any pc skills, buy only minimum ram and drive.
The laptops are easy to upgrade ram and ssd.
Your cost will be less than picking the upgrades pre installed.

And, look for sales which abound.
