Which laptop is better for general use and some light gaming?

ASUS X550CC XO168H is a bit better as it has a Quad CPU. The GPU's are not all that different, the 840M is slightly better than the 720M but not by much.

I have no idea what delaroare talking about the gpu in the lenovo is miles better. It is a mid range gpu similar to the gt 750m whereas the gt 720m is an entry level gpu similar to the gt 630m

I would defiantly go with the lenovo as it is 4th gen cpu and the performance difference won't be that much in gaming. Also you will save battery life when you are not gaming with the lenovo.
