Hello there. There's two laptop models in my budget range i can't decide which is better. These two models are best price performance models i can find in my country.

1)Acer Nitro 5 2022 AN515-46(50$ cheaper)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 6600H
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 95W
RAM: 8GB DDR5 4800MHz(1x8)
SSD: 512 GB SSD
Panel: 15.6" 144Hz 1080p IPS

2)Acer Nitro 5 2021 AN517-41

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800H
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti 80W
RAM: 16GB DDR4 3200MHz(2x8)
SSD: 512 GB SSD
Panel: 17.3" 144Hz 1080p IPS

I personally prefer getting the newer device but i'm not sure which one would perform better.

Hey there,

I'd prb go with the first option.

Whilst it defo has the better CPU in terms of speed, boost higher, it also happens to have a 95w version of the 3050. The 3050 95w is just a fraction (maybe 2%) behind the 3050ti 80w. Overall the GPU's are pretty close.

I guess it depends on your own preferences though. Bigger screen might be nicer for you.

The second one does have a very powerfull CPU, with 8 cores and 16 threads, as opposed to the 6600 which has 6 cores/12 threads. More cores doesn't make for better gaming though necessarily.

It's a tough choice for sure.

Bigger screen, dual channel ram, ti 3050 better performance.

Do you know what, I actually missed that and thought they both had 2x8gb. Good spot. In this case, the extra fast ram is worth it, as is dual channel specially for Ryzen.
