which laptop should i get?

I am getting a laptop for my father for christmas for watching movies, document typing. googling etc. I have narrowed my decision to two laptops and here are the runnings:

Lenovo G50-45 Laptop, AMD A8, 8GB RAM, 1TB, 15.6", Black £299.95
or
Acer Aspire ES1-731 £299.97

which laptop would be the best choice try to factor in build quality, ergonomics and looks.

I would pick a Lenovo over an Acer all the time. Looks are pretty subjective, but Lenovo has one of the top quality and reliability ratings as a brand.
