I have an ASUS Prime Z390-A motherboard. I would like to install one Crucial P1 1TB 3D NAND NVMe PCIe Internal SSD- CT1000P1SSD8. This motherboard has two M.2 sockets and I don’t see in the mother board user guide/manual which M.2 socket I should use for one M.2 SSD. Does it matter which socket I use?

Solution
That motherboard and that drive, it doesn't make a difference.

1 x M.2 Socket 3, , with M key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 storage devices support (PCIE 3.0 x 4 mode)
1 x M.2 Socket 3, with M key, type 2242/2260/2280 storage devices support (SATA & PCIE 3.0 x 4 mode)*5
