Hi .
Hope you guys are doing well .
I want to know is this mac is good for my needs ?

Macbook pro 13 mid 2014
Core i5 , 8 gig ram , 128 flash storage , iris graphic

For music producing
Edit 24 megapixel camera photo
And edit 1080p video or great music video not with cinema effect , with some light , colour and little motion effects .

Is core i5 processor and 8 gig ram enoughf for this needs
Or should i go for 15 base model iris only
Or wait for 2015 models ?
Im very confused , i'll be glad to here from you guys , thanks for your time .

It depends what you will have open at the same time ! if you open 1 heavy program (Photoshop or movie-editing SW) it doesn't matter if you have 8 or 16 GB RAM. If you need more apps open at same time go for 16GB !
i5 and i7 have different models: the best i5 can be better than the worst i7 !

So if you want to be sure i7 is usually faster (check the different specs, I don't know if you can choose on MAC)
i5 has less power consumption.

Hope this helps.

Hi there,

I would go for best graphical (because of your camrah) and also for a 2nd screen option because your laptop might have lots of pixels, but what's the use if you don't see them seperately ? External screen is usually bigger (22 to 30 inch) to view your pic's better !

Sound has no improvements last 5 years so that's ok !

I would go for a desktop they are faster and better pixels, but that's my opinion.

Cheers, Louise.

You know i want portable device
And stuck between the base model 13 and 15 inch macbook pros mid 2014

But i don't know exactly is core i5 and 8 gig ram enoughf for me or going gor core i7 and 16 gig ram

Another problem is the graphics.
I don't know how good intel iris or intel iris pro! I do not gaming but is enoughf for my need for next 3 years ?
