Prolog (feel free to skip to the meat):
I am about to put together a new system. I haven't done this about 4 years My normal procedure is to go to the motherboard manufacturer's website and download the latest BIOS and driver and necessary utility files instead of using the driver CD included with the packaging. I went to download them from the ASUS site and was a bit overwhelmed. This was the moment I lost my confidence and thought I could use a helpful hand and I came here looking for guidance. I couldn't find any definitive answer to my problem, so now I am throwing it out there to the community hoping that someone can help me out.

Meat:
Which utility files do I need for my new ASUS Maximus VII HERO? I went to their website (http://) and wasn't sure what essential utilities I needed to run my system. In the past I usually just installed necessary drivers and I didn't use the utilities, but with new advances I was wondering if I should be using them now.

I will be using a basic setup (no raid).
HERO w/ Intel i7
3 Samsung EVO 500 GB SSDs
Sound Blaster audio card
290x video card
Compatible memory (2400)

I will be using this system mainly for gaming, work (Microsoft Office), light video editing rarely, and basic news and media internet browsing. I will not OC this system unless I think I need it, but that would be in the future.

I don't generally tweak my system too much and I don't like a lot of programs running in the background unless they help with performance.

Extra Info (skip if you can help with just the meat section):
Here is a list of the utilities. It is a bit daunting when you don't know what you need.

File 1: (Is this stuff useful?)
ASUS AI Suite 3
ASUS Dual Intelligent Processors
ASUS EZ Update
ASUS Push Notice
ASUS System Information
ASUS USB 3.0 Boost
ASUS USB BIOS Flashback
ASUS USB Charger+

File 2: (I researched this and it looks unnecessary for what I am doing)
ASUS HomeCloud
ASUS HomeCloudLauncher
ASUS HomeCloud Server
ASUS Media Streamer

File 3: (Not sure about this, even after research)
ASUS PC Diagnostics

File 4: (Again, not sure)
ASUS AO Help

File 5: (Not sure)
ASUS Boot Setting

File 6: (I'd probably install unless someone gives me a good reason not to)
ROG CPU-Z

File 7: (Not sure)
ROG GameFirst III

File 8: (Is this really a big boost over SSDs?)
RAMDisk

File 9: (Will this be more useful than Razer keyboard software?)
ASUS KeyBot

File 10: (Not sure what this is for)
ASUS Probe II Sense Driver

File 11: (I don't think I will ever use this feature, unless I am missing something here)
ASUS ROG Connect Plus

File 12: (not needed on this system. I may put an old 1TB HDD in it, but that is it)
Disk Unlocker

File 13: (I will use this most likely as I am using it now):
ASUS Ai Charger

File 14: (Is this useful for my purposes?)
Mem TweakIt

File 15: (I'm not using their cloud service)
ASUS WebStorage

Appreciation:
Thank you for your time and for any help that you can give an old builder that has been out of the loop for a few years. I normally don't use utilities, but perhaps now is the time to start?

This is a great thread, I'm curious about this too as I've been looking into getting this board.

I can't see myself using any of this stuff to be honest. Careful with Asus Ai Charger, it'll shorten your devices battery life if your device isn't built to handle that sort of intake current.
