Question Which mb to get for skylake 6500 bclk overclocking...

Some mb brands let you downgrade the bios but some do not.

I am looking to bclk overclock my i5-6500...to do this i need a z170 board that lets you downgrade the bios to an earlier version....some brands do not let you do this..

1. Which mb brand/model should i get ?

2. Does bclk overclocking disable the igpu ?

2. I have a z170x gaming 3 that i use with my 7700k...i have upgraded the bios and cannot downgrade it.

3. Office work, light gaming and experimenting with overclocking..i will get a used gtx 970 too

4.because i have leftover ram sticks, cpu, case, monitor, soundcard, keyboard, air cooler, ssd, usb wifi, case fan and mouse.

2. What is wrong with the current motherboard? That you cannot OC a non-K CPU?

I do not know the answer to your 'question', but I absolutely would not spend any money just for a random tiny OC, that will actually be of no real benefit.
But thats just me.
