Hello, I am on the verge of buying a mechanical keyboard as I have wanted one for a while but not known which to get seeing as I have never used ANY mechanical key switches or used a mech. keyboard at all. Currently I have a Razer Deathstalker Expert keyboard

which is the green LED keyboard that has the small chicklet style non-mechanical keys which is what i wanted when I bought it. However, it's been about a year now and I want to give the bigger key caps a try so might as well go mechanical. I think I'm set on the Corsair K70

because I dont care too much about the RGB and this seems to be the newest k70 model. My only problem is since I have never used mech. switches, i have no idea which i prefer which is risky considering i will be paying $130. My keyboard I have now is chicklet so it has no tactile feedback obviously and is fairly quiet which is what i've heard about the reds whereas the blues are supposedly loud and tactile/clicky. Because of that, I'd think i would go with reds since im used to non tactile and no sound but I have heard the reds suck for typing and you end up hitting a bunch of unintentional keys because they're linear. If anyone has red key switches and wants to share their experience, it'd be very helpful. Thank you.
P.S Is the jump from chicklet keys to dome keys much different? I have no idea what to expect.

But are the blues so tactile and clicky that I'll find myself having to press abnormally hard to actuate them considering I am coming from a non-mechanical chicklit keyboard?

I do not think so. I think the transition will be just right as I feel that chiclet keys and MX Blues have around the same actuation force with the MX Blues being just a tiny bit heavier.
