Hey guys I'm building a new computer in the next few weeks. I've narrowed everything down to this set-up

motherboard: abit ip35 pro
cpu: e675
GFX: GeForce 8800 gtx

now I need to get some ram. I just want 2GB of good ddr2 memory, for no more than $130. I dont care if it's two sticks or one, I can't seem to figure out what good memory is. I thought low timings were good, but it seems some chips with higher timings are still better. All help appreciated.

Get PC8500 (1066mhz) and match the fsb, duh.
And the Q6600, it's a few bucks more expensive but you get a quad!
Almost ridiculous not to, shave to a 88GTS if you don't have the funds...

Edit: (since we cant edit messages any more I post again!)
And the P35 Pro is overpriced IMO, get better ram and a quad and you've spent the same amount of money for more performance.

I have 2gb of Patriot and 2gb of Crucial DDR2-800 mixed in dual channel and everything works great. i recommend the crucial; it looks better.

BUT, let me warn you that Abit has virtually no tech support....their mobos are usually flawless but if yours happens to have a flaw.....then once you call tech support, after 35 min the nice lady will tell you that "someone" will call you in the next 24 hours....and guess what? no one ever calls.

and i hope you dont have an issue with updating BIOS, cause the BIOS that comes with the ip35 pro (v.10.0) is horrible. Ranging from spelling mistakes to being unstable. (i recommend a floppy drive or NON-bootable CD [use alt+F2]) Dont use the Flash Menu program that comes with the CD.
