I have been intrigued by the new Cooler Master H100 as the look is excellent BUT I'm not crazy about placement of the PSU and SSD drives; I know it's a little soon to ask but how does this compare in workability vs Thermaltake Core V1 Snow Edition? I don't absolutely have to have a lit up fan (though it is helpful to remind me when the pc is on haha)

Depends on the price point. If you are willing to spend some money on very good cases you should look up
NCase M1
Sliger SM 560
Logue Ghost S1

On the cheaper side there could be the Fractal Node 202.

Edit: I would not get a h100 because the interior layout is poorly optimised and despite a 200mm fan the cooling is subpar. There is a pretty neat review on that by optimumtech and I think also from gamersnexus.

Inwin a1 and fractal nano s both don't have front usb C port.
Personally I'm looking for a case with usb c as it would be more future proof.

I hate that "future proof" term. Yes Usb c is nice, but at the moment underused and the same goes for front usb in general. The case got a Qi-charger and that can actually be useful now.
But to each his own.
