I am looking to get a mini pc to use as a secondary computer. This will not be used for any type of gaming, light office type stuff, word, excel, veracrypt type program. This will be used offline only, don't intend to connect to the internet. Not going to be used all the time either. Looking to spend between $300 and $400. Will either be used on a 1080p or 1440p single monitor.

Ideally want it to have DDR5 ram, nvme drive, windows 11 pro, and a display port. This is one I was looking at: https://www.amazon.com/Beelink-SER8...1856&sprefix=beelink+ser8,aps,135&sr=8-8&th=1

I realize this one is $500 but I signed up for the amazon prime credit card and got a $150 gift card I can use towards this. I also realize this is probably completely overkill but I would rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it. Might decide to use it for other things down the road. Any reason to stay away from this model or other models or brands? I got my uncle a beelink mini pc a while back, don't recall the model but he has good luck out of it.

The Ryzen 7 5825U equipped mini PC would be something to look into, as it's cheaper and you're not going to be taxing the system with anything CPU or GPU intensive.

Seems like you've made your mind up.
