which mobo did you use?

I have a soyo Kt400 dragon ultra and presently have a 2500+@ 2.111GHz (169FSB x 12.5 multiplyer). I was wondering why the computer fails to boot after I go above 171 fsb x 12.5 multi. I am using a 512MB stick of corsair XMS2700LLPT. It is qualified to run at 333FSB with timings of 2-2-2-5 1T command. I can only get mine to 2-2-3-6 1T command. the settings are simply not selectable in bios. I have tried bios updates and tech support from soyo and nothing seems to work. i want the memory to run at the timings it is capable of and i want my barton to hit 3000+ levels. i ahvea SLK-800A with a thermaltake Smart case fan 2 at full so don't worry about cooling it. oh and i have pleanty of PSU (enermax 460watt dual fan). any ideas on the memory timings or the board or why the proc won't go above 2.111GHz?

Coudl eb many things:
1. Memory that can't handle the speed (your memory is made for 166MHz FSB speed)... to resolve this try increasing the Vdimm to 2.7V
2. Northbridge crappin g out as the KT400 can have serious problems running above 166MHz (but already crapping out at 171Mhz sounds way to fast).
3. CPU can't handle the speed, solution: increase VCore to 1.7 or 1.75V.

The only way you may get the memory to run at the right timings is letting the SPD determine the memory settings.
