Which mobo for Xeon E7-8890 v3

Hi guys,

I have looked for a mobo for Xeon E7-8890 v3 within X99-based ones but I couldn't find anything that actually works with any CPU from E7 series. Is there any non-server mobo supporting this cpu? I have also considered some platfrms like Dell Precision but could not find anything.

You can install up to 8 Xeon E7-8890 v3 on a server motherboard; it doesn't make much sense to support it on an X99 motherboard on which you could install a single one. You need a motherboard that supports 4 such processors; compared to the cost of that CPU, the cost of the motherboard is not that significant.

Well, I happened to find this CPU on ebay in a good price, but I don't think I will be able to find 3 or 7 more to build it on server board. Instead I am trying to find the cheapest platform for this particular CPU to run with. So is there any X99 mobo that actually supports it? Can You give any example of non-server platform that supports it?

No X99 motherboard can support it; you need a server motherboard to install an E7 Xeon processor.
