I'm looking to upgrade my current Modem and Router to meet the upgraded speed of Internet I am paying for. (My current modem/router combo is the Zoom 5352.

Currently, I have Comcast Cable Internet at a Download Speed of 75Mbps.

Here is a list of the modems that Comcast's website says they are compatible with.

https://mydeviceinfo.xfinity.com/customerinfo

or

http://www.approvedmodems.com/comcast-xfinity.html

This will be my first time setting up a modem and router individually, but I believe that will be the best option for my situation.

We have 2 story home, easily 8-15 devices on the network simultaneously and potentially streaming 2-3 devices at the same time.

Thanks for your help!

I have Comcast X1 I use SB6190 with a Nighthawk X6 R8000, love it , never have issues.
when you get modem though you will need to contact them your replacing their crappy x1 box with modem they will need to input the serial number of your modem into their system then wait like 15 mins before doing the swap out. then it will take another 15mins before it gets connected into the system

I know there is some "technical issue" thread on the 6190 but I tested mine and saw nothing of the sort reported, if your worries you can always get the SB6183 instead.

personally with a two story home, I will recommend to wire another wireless AP to your router upstairs for your Wi-Fi needs, power lines will work but if you need more than 3 you will need a switch box behind your router to manage them all. (routers normally only have 4 wire in ports)
