Hi, I am looking to upgrade my current monitor (Asus VE278Q), which I've had the over the past four years. I am currently looking to buy an IPS panel monitor just because they give out much better colour reproduction. Also I am looking to buy 27" inch screen size. My budget is around max £200. My main use would be to play (nothing too intensive), games like WoW, Diablo, HotS, etc. Also casual browsing, email youtube etc. Don't really need insane response times or anything, just want something that produces nice visual display.

I have narrowed the monitors down based on my research and wanted to get an idea of which one is more better (in terms of image quality, durability etc). All are 1080p, 5ms or less, 60Hz and similar specs so having hard time deciding which one is best. Most importantly, they are all in my budget range.

Here is the list:
Acer R1 (Acer R271BMID)
Acer G7 (Acer G277HLBID)
Asus VX (ASUS VX279Q)
Samsung E390 (Samsung LS27E390HS)

So if anyone has any insight or experience with these monitors or brands please if you can be of any help I would really appreciate it. :)

the thing is that those are kinda huge for 1080p.
If you sit as most people do 70-80cm from the monitor, going beyond 24" with 1080p is not really optimal as you start to see the individual pixels.
While for gaming only, it is not a problem, for productivity or browsing the web, it is annoying.
Try to see if there a 1440p monitor of 27" that can fit your budget.

Thanks for the quick response, I did initially think about getting a higher resolution display with faster response time but for my budget and needs I thought it wasn't really necessary as I'm not playing any FPS or high GPU demanding games. I wanted an IPS display specifically and most IPS displays with higher resolution and Hz are generally very expensive.

Also I currently own a 1080p 27" and I'm frankly happy with it so anything above isn't something I'm really after. It's just I'm going to be giving this to a friend so wanted a new monitor.

The monitors I mentioned are on sale near retail store my area so I won't be paying full price for them so thought would be a good choice, just not sure specifically which one. I'm leaning towards the Acer R1 or the Samsung.

Thanks

Hope someone else will help you with the choice of the specific model since I'm not familiar with any of them :)
I just wanted to point out the image clarity thing with 1080p on above 24" panels.
Going beyond 60Hz is not really necessary (though very nice). Anyway, most monitors can be overclocked to 75Hz or above.
