Which monitor of the two?

Hey guys, ive narrowed it down to these two here. Which one is better? I'll be using it for gaming largely, the occasional movie. It'll be hooked up to an Evga 970.

Which ones better and why? two side notes, it'll be mounted on an arm on the wall, and I like the looks of the samsung better, but if the LG is clearly better i will seriously consider it.

What's it for ? For image editing it should be OK, but I can't recommend any $200 IPS for gaming.

It's for gaming. And Well considering im used to a 1366x766 resolution on the LG display I have, either one of them will be an incredible jump, that much I know. Im just wondering which one i would be wiser to go with, although i feel either one would serve my purpose i'd like to be well informed before making my final decision.

Again, the only IPS monitor I would recommend for gaming is $750. Did you read the review on the Samsung PLS monitor I linked to ? I thought that would have "sealed the deal" so to speak.

I appreciate the effort in helping me, but I dont have near that kind of money to spend on a monitor. I did give it a brief scroll through and I will look at it more in depth shortly, thank you. Do you think i could do better than what i selected for the money?

I don't understand, isn't that the monitor in your 2nd link ? How does the LS24D390HL/ZC differ from the LS24D390HL ? I thought it likely was a styling difference .

Both 23.6"
Both Contrast ratio are 1,000:1
Both have Typical maximum brightness of 250 cd/m2

looking here, thing I noticed was the ZC has a headphone port

The ZC may be cheaper as it appears to be discontinued.

The samsung says it is PLS and the LG says it is an IPS screen type. Is that not different?

Of course the IPS and PLS screens are different.

You asked which of the 2 we'd recommend.... I recommended against the 1st (LG IPS) and for the 2nd (Samsung PLS). There are at least 3 versions of the Samsung LS24D390HL to which I linked in above post.
