I currently have a 24 inch dell isp from 2009 that is 60hz. I want to get one that is 27 inch with g sync and under one thousand dollars. I thought about the asus PG279Qz but those seem to have a lot of back light bleed problems and has been out for two years. Do you think Asus will release a new monitor in this price range early next year or should I just get the PG279Qz ?  If I am going to be spending a lot of money I want to make sure I get a really good monitor for the price.

The PG279Qz is a new monitor that Asus is planning on releasing soon. You're thinking of the PG279Q (no "z"). There's not a lot of info, but it's assumed that they will be releasing it this December or early Q1 of 2019.

Also, LG is tapping into the 1440p market and planning on beginning production of a 27" 1440p 144Hz G-Sync IPS panel with 1ms response time. They are slated to begin production this December with a release following that shortly. It's dubbed the LG LM270WQA.
