Hi
Im thinking of buying a new monitor, because i would like something a bit bigger than old Alienware AW2310 as my main monitor.
My budget is around 500$.
I would like a curved 27" 1440p model, and it is specifically for gaming, so minimum 144hz
I have been looking at;

Gigabyte G27QC
https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E168240...e_g27qc-_-24-012-013-_-Product&quicklink=true

ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQ
https://www.newegg.com/black-asus-t..._VG27AQ-_-24-236-987-_-Product&quicklink=true

But im no expert, and i dont know if there are better alternatives, or if the higher price of the ASUS is even worth it?

Yo're looking at a larger display which also has a larger native resolution than your Alienware display. Are you sure your GPU can handle the higher res and can pump out the frames to satisfy the 165Hz on both panels? Both panels aren't the same either, one is curved while the other isn't.

Where are you located? Would PCPartPicker help you with a shortlist on monitors...?

You are probably right, i only have the 1070 atm, but i'm going to buy one of the Ampere cards, when they drop. That is partially, why i'm looking for a better monitor.
I know, i would like a curved, but from the looks of it IPS is better?

I live in Denmark, so i dont think so.
