I have settled in on the Intel E8500 CPU and was wondering what motherboard you would suggest? I'm not a gamer, but do video editing with my HD camcorder. (My current system just locks up at the thought of working through those files!!!) I would like one with onboard graphics and had another sub question about that. I know no true computer efficianado likes onboard graphics, but will that "dramatically" affect my performance if I'm just doing video editing as my most intensive task? Also I am going to upgrade to the 64 bit Vista version so I can use 4GB+ of RAM. Any suggestions on a cooling fan/case/power supply too?

What motherboard has the best chipset available with onboard graphics for under $150?

What is the best motherboard available with no onboard graphics for under $100 and what video card could I get for about $50 that would be worth while?

What is the difference between the G series and P series chipsets? Is one significantly better than the other?

G series mobo's have onboard video, P series do not. To be quite honest, The Intel GMAx4500 Onboard video that comes with intel boards is not very good, you would be better off going with an AMD board and Phenom II x3 720 CPU with ATI 3300 onboard video, if onboard is the way you wanted to go. But as previously said, a discrete video card will be much better than onboard video. I would look into getting this Mobo for the E8500:

with this GPU:

or if you wanted a GPU with passive cooling (no fan so its silent), then look at this one:

Now have you for sure decided on the E8500? For the uses you described, the Phenom II x3 720 would do better, and is cheaper. You could go with something like this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.165024

That CPU will be better for video encoding, and that Mobo that it comes with has onboard ATI 3300 video chipset, which is the best onboard video chipset available. (I would still get a discrete card though, but you can try the onboard and see how well it does and buy a separate GPU later if you need it.)

For what you looking to do, you want to go with a quadcore cpu.

First your motherboard...this own down below is perfect for what you want.
