Which motherboard Is best for gaming?

Hi,
Ive seen a few motherboards and im wondering which one is best for gaming.
This is what I have setup so far but I've seen z97 gaming motherboards the msi x99s and stuff. Please give me some advice on which motherboard to get.

A gaming rig with new CPUs should be either X or Z series, not H. X can be slightly cheaper and some manufacturers have built them to be more compatible for DDR4 RAM, whereas Z have been optimized for new GPUs and nicer layouts/features. Really depends on what you want from your "gaming" board. Things to consider might be: upgradability, airflow, size, cost, manufacturer preference.

So do you think the MSI gaming 7 is a good MOBO considering it goes with my graphics card?

It's a great board with a premium attached. I don't have any complaints about the board, but you could probably find an equal performing one for less with a lot of digging.

I just read that the gaming 7 has a few more usb ports so ill go for the gaming 5 which is £15 cheaper

If you're looking to save money, and the rig is for gaming and not video editing, downgrade the CPU to an i5 4460.

Im happy by spending but i realise there is no need for the extra usb ports for me. Im happy with my CPU anyway as I amy be doign editing for myself and a friend
