Question Which motherboard(s) are compatible with the Ryzen 5 3600 that doesn't require a bios update?

I'm thinking about building a PC with a Ryzen 5 3600, but I really don't want to spend that much on a mobo and it seems the only ones that don't require a bios update to accommodate the 3600 are x570 boards. At least according to PCPartPicker. I also want a Micro ATX board but there aren't too many available within my price range. So I want to ask, are there any B450 boards or the like that are compatible with the Ryzen 5 3600 straight out of the box, no bios update? Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Any X570 board.

Any MSI board with a MAX in the board name.

Any AM4 board that the vendor is willing to certify is "Ryzen 3000 Ready", usually with a sticker on the box.

If you can find one, look for MSI's B450m Mortar MAX or B450m Gaming Plus MAX.

Now, I was planning to get this motherboard for the 3600 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XH4SK17?tag=pcpapi-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1 However, I noticed somebody stated that the 3400G is compatible with it out of the box and the 3600 or higher will require a bios update. Is this true or is he wrong? Shopping around for a reasonably priced motherboard that doesn't require a bios update for the CPU I want has been a total nightmare so far lol

It is an MSI MAX motherboard so it will be compatible 'out of the box' with any Ryzen 3000 CPU. But it also lacks heat sinks on the VRM FET's. It will probably be fine for a 3600 or 3600X, since they're only 6 core/12 thread. But 3700X and up will leave the VRM hot, probably too hot if you should ever try manual overclocking.

It's clearly unsuitable for a 3900X, 12 core/24 thread, even though it may work on it.

It will probably be fine for a 3600 or 3600X, since they're only 6 core/12 thread. But 3700X and up will leave the VRM hot, probably too hot if you should ever try manual overclocking.

However the main reason I plan to get this board instead is because the previous one I was gonna get only has one fan header, which is kinda crappy imo. I was hoping it'd at least have two, but this full ATX one has 4. So why not!
