Which motherboard to buy for Intel Xeon E3-1230V3?

Hey guys,

Right now my build for my upcoming pc is:

Intel Xeon E3-1230V3
Kingston DDR3 1600 4g (KHX1600C9D3LK2/8GX)x 2
PLEXTOR M5 PRO - 128GB
MSI GTX 760 TF 2GD5/OC
D.HIGH S - 650W 80+ GOLD

** CASE MAY VARY!, I am considering these two:
Bitfenix Prodigy (white): which I think will require a mini-ITX motherboard
Aerocool Xpreadator-X3 White: anything smaller than an ATX motherboard should work right? (e.g. M-ATX?)

Right now I know that Asus doesn't support Intel Xeon E3-1230V3.
I've found some Gigabyte and MSI boards that support it.

Gigabyte B85M-D3H would be might pick. Quality components, good layout at a nice price. And that Aerocool case supports ATX boards, too. If you want to go ITX with the Bitfenix Prodigy, pick the Gigabyte H87N-WIFI.

I also want to ask what's the difference between gigabyte and msi? Is one particularly better than the other?

So far, since Haswell was released, I saw more bug reports about MSI's B85/H87 boards than Giga's.

I have one last question about motherboards... well more like 2.
1) Is Asus going to be coming out with a motherboard that supports Intel Xeon E3-1230V3 in the very near future?
2) What's the difference between Gigabyte B85M-D3H and H87M-D3H? They look fairly similar

1) Probably, but Asus is really slow on this. They have some years old LGA2011 boards that still don't show full support for LGA2011 CPUs by now.
2) H87 chipset get your RAID feature.

Need ECC RAM for XEON. Non ECC RAM might work in lower RAM amounts. Be careful or it will not work.

Nope, no need for ECC, and LGA1150 platform doesn't support ECC sticks anyway.
